ART ADVISING

Art Advising

Art advising is the process and strategy that helps you to select artwork for your space, whether that is your home or a corporate setting.

More importantly, art advisory is a relationship between you and your art advisor.

When you work with SELAH, it’s your relationship with Hannah.

Her work as art advisor begins with you. She meets you to gain a thorough and personal understanding of your approach or goals for your collection and space. If you’re new to the idea of collecting or living with art, she walks you through the journey - how you will work together and what you can anticipate and get excited about.

From there, she begins the fun work - bringing together your vision with her experience and relationships in the art world.

She taps into the deep, strong, and real relationships she’s built with a wide range of contemporary artists and galleries around the world over the last 15 years.

She curates options for your review, educating you on each work, each artist and their story, philosophy and intention - and how it might align to you.

You work together to refine your selection. Sometimes, you find “the piece” right away; other times, it takes time. It’s a unique and organic process of identifying the right piece, together.

Whether she’s helping you find and purchase your first piece of art or she’s delighting in “the hunt” of seeking work for the more experienced collector, Hannah’s approach is always custom to you, your needs, and your vision.

There is a flow and order to the strategy - and her personal touch every step of the way.

As a full-service art advisory partner, SELAH is capable of managing all art acquisitions, installations, curation, and collection documentation, as needed.

Hannah has been a pleasure to work with since we happened to meet at an art exhibit she was hosting almost ten years ago. We had a vacant retail space in an Uptown Charlotte office tower and were looking for someone that could install a rotating art studio, and Hannah jumped on the challenge, activating the space with local/regional artists, and weekly events. Since that time, she has worked with a variety of our tenants on new corporate offices, a tenant amenity lounge in our building, managed rotating art shows in our corporate headquarters, and sourced artwork for a variety of real estate projects. Her eye for art and ease of doing business with has created many opportunities for us to partner, and trust we will continue to do so for many years to come!

We have worked with Hannah Blanton at SOZO Gallery for several years, and her expertise was beneficial when we were choosing artwork for our new home. We highly recommend Hannah Blanton to help grow your art collection.
